Wind Turbine Major Component Exchange (MCE) Team Lead – Nationwide Travel

Select Offshore is hiring experienced MCE Lead Technicians for long-term major corrective projects across the United States.

You’ll lead technician teams carrying out major component exchanges on operational wind turbines, ensuring each activity is completed safely and in accordance with OEM procedures.

The Role

• Leading major component exchanges, including gearboxes, generators, main bearings and blades
• Managing technicians and allocating daily responsibilities
• Coordinating with site management, crane crews and OEM representatives
• Leading toolbox talks, lift planning and pre-task briefings
• Ensuring correct tooling, torqueing, alignment and installation procedures are followed
• Reviewing technical documentation and completing job reports
• Troubleshooting issues encountered during component replacement
• Maintaining high safety, quality and productivity standards

What We’re Looking For

• Extensive wind turbine major corrective experience
• Previous experience leading MCE teams
• Experience completing multiple gearbox, generator, main-bearing or blade exchanges
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Confident reading technical drawings, lift plans and OEM procedures
• Strong leadership, communication and documentation skills
• Willingness to travel throughout the United States
• Vestas experience is beneficial but not essential
