THE IDEAL CANDIDATE NEED TO BE AN LPN OR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Summary/Objective: Provide basic medical and nursing care. Ensure the comfort of patients, discuss health care with patients, and report status of patients to registered nurses and providers.Essential Functions
· Summons and prepares patient for office visit.
· Applies principles of fetal growth and development in his/her daily practice
· Set up rooms and trays for scheduled procedures.
· Assist provider with clinic procedures.
· Administer medications and/or vaccines as needed.
· Identifies and evaluates the patient needs by way of telephone triage.
· Recognizes and responds appropriately to OB/GYN emergencies.
· Adheres to Nursing policy and procedures when documenting information in the patient’s medical record
· Is an active member of the care team and may include additional duties related to care coordination.
Requirements:
LPN Specialist requirements are:
Required Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida state license. One (1) year prior experience in OB/GYN required, two (2) years experience preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications: CPR certification.
Medical Assistant Specialist Requirements are:
Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
